Critical Acclaim

Basellandschaftliche Zeitung, 16.05.2006: "And than the surprise of the evening: The soprano Christina Karenovics, who accompanied by the pianist Justyna Danczowska, with powerfull, expressive voice sang four songs and later in the evening an aria of the opera “Cosi fan tutte”. In the future we will most certainly hear again of this excellent voice.”

Brabants Dagblad, 18.12.2007: ... the outstanding soprano Christina Karenovics ... "Most impressive was the performance of “Minuit Chretiens”, (....) by the imposing soprano Karenovics, who created a most spectacular ending of this French Christmas song."

Brabants Dagblad, 04.04.2007 from Mark van de Voort: The soprano Karenovics brings the performance of 'La Perichole' to a higher level "The most important trumpcard is the swiss-dutch soprano Christina Karenovics in the role of Perichole. She is a very talented, strong and moving stage personality, who brings the performance of the operetta to a higher level. Vocal saltos are no problem to her at all. (....) In the letter-aria Karenovics prooves that the lower registers of her voice are in perfect technical condition as well."

Brabants Dagblad 23 september 2009, door Marjolein Sengers: “Love affairs, brilliantly sung” Soprano Christina Karenovics in the role of the calculating Lisa gave a generous, confident performance, bringing distinctive, provocative touches to the role. She also provided the comic relief, a key ingredient in this performance of Bellini’s La Sonnambula.

Brabants Dagblad April 20, 2010 by Henk Langenhuijsen: Operetta Rosmalen performs “Im weissen Roessel” The charming Swiss soprano Christina Karenovics not only spoke excellent Dutch, she positively stole the show. She has a gorgeous voice, sings with great expression, and lifted the performance to new heights far above the roof, floating high above the orchestra.
